About Me

Gigi M. Waddell writes fantasy, horror, romance, and speculative fiction. She is the author of Bloodshift: The Awakening, an urban fantasy novel about teenager Lexi Cree Craven, a mixed-race half-vampire, half-shapeshifter, who kills a serial rapist werewolf when he attacks her. She covers it up, but her prejudiced Aunt turns Lexi in to the police. Lexi goes on trial, and dirty family secrets come to light. She must fight for her life and identity on a supernatural island in America’s deep south.  Waddell is also the author of Sweet Reversal, an upbeat romance novel about Cassidy Orlando who loses everything in New York and returns home to her Florida roots to figure out what is next. 

Waddell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, and her Master of Fine Arts in Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. She is currently a Communications Officer in the Georgia Institute of Technology, Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering. She spent almost a decade at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C., primarily as a public affairs specialist and program analyst. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with her wonderful family.
